Setup instructions

Enabling account access

  1. Log in to your Klaviyo account and click your profile dropdown in the upper right and then Account.

    Klaviyo settings

  2. In your account options, click the Settings dropdown and then API Keys.
  3. On this screen, you'll need to note the values under Public API Key and Private API Key to add in to Blocks Edit. If there isn't a Private API Key already available, click the Create Private API Key button.

Finishing up in Blocks Edit

  1. In Blocks Edit, next to your organization at the top, click the integrations icon (). Note: You’ll see the integration option only if you are an admin or owner on the account.
  2. Click the Add button next to Klaviyo.
  3. Here you’ll just need to add in your Klaviyo API credentials.
  4. Click Save to save your credentials.

Using its features

Once the integration is in place, you can use the Klaviyo specific features with your template. Here’s what you can do:

Template access settings

You will need to enable your integration for each template that you want to allow using as a source for exporting your emails. You can do this in the dashboard by clicking on the preferences icon () on the right side of a template title.

Template settings

Note: you will need to be an admin or owner on the account to have access to these settings.

Exporting your emails to Klaviyo

When you’re ready to export your email, you will be able to choose Klaviyo as a source to transfer your HTML. You cannot export images to Klaviyo so you will not see the source option during that step of the export process.

Transferring will create an email template in your Klaviyo account. It will have the campaign name you gave your email when creating it on the Blocks Edit dashboard.

In the Content step for your campaign in Klaviyo, use the Select Template option and then switch to My Templates to see the added template among your other templates.
