• Welcome email highlighting membership benefits and details
• Notice that free trial is nearly over and how to become a paying customer
• If you offer a free plan, let free members know about your premium options
• Inform customer about the upcoming renewal of their service with options to make changes
• Confirmation of membership having ended or being cancelled
• Notify customer about an outstanding bill, potentially multiple times before a payment is due
• Instead of a payment reminder, if customer renews automatically, send them a receipt email
• Inform customer that their payment method on file has failed and what they should do
• Link directly to their account page where they can update their payment info
• Include customer support contact info in case they have any questions
