• Newsletters are by far the most popular type of email sent out
• A newsletter email is an opportunity to share various information and content with your readers
• Related to your product or service, or about a particular topic your readers are interested in
• News on your product or service, upcoming webinars or events, and informational blog posts
• It typically consists of a round-up of links to content for further reading
• A regular release cadence, like weekly or monthly, is common for a newsletter, but not required
• Newsletters are meant to educate, inform, or entertain
• You should first and foremost make sure your content adds value for your readers
• Content should be consistent and on-topic for your audience to know what to expect from you
• Be discerning in your curation, and thoughtful of your reader’s time
